Currently based in Chicago, Kat Fitzgerald began studying photography at the age of 13. She won her first competition at the California State Fair at the age of 16,
1st Place in "Color Portraits".
Always striving to learn more, be better, and do the best, she continues to study digital techniques for today's ever changing photographic needs. After moving to Chicago in late 2005, Kat has been actively involved in the LGBT community providing photography services and creative input where ever she can.
Kat Fitzgerald is easy-going, approachable, and fun-to-work-with. She is a highly professional photographer & digital imaging artist providing affordable personal, wedding, event and commercial photography services.
Besides photographic art, Kat has pursued a musical talent for at least as many years. She is a drummer and percussionist and currently hosts Open Mic every Monday and Tuesday at Uncommon Ground in Chicago.
Primarily, I am an artist. I am looking for images that are timeless in that they are not just reproductions of faces, but rather images that emote the special feelings shared by those photographed with you.
